The Accord Hybrid is imported via the CBU route from Thailand.
Honda Cars India has launched the Honda Accord for sale in India. It is only available in the Hybrid variant, which is priced at INR 37,00,000 (ex-showroom Delhi), INR 40,57,485 (ex-showroom Bangalore) and INR 40,14,047 (ex-showroom Navi Mumbai).
Despite a hybrid, the new Accord doesn't qualify for the government's FAME tax incentives as it is a CBU import from Thailand. At its first media drive, Honda officials claimed that they received over 30 bookings for the Accord Hybrid, and it will be made-to-order for new customers.
The Accord returns to India in its facelifted ninth generation guise, with a sharper exterior design and premium interior loaded with a long list of equipments, which include a 7-inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7.7-inch intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID), power adjustable front seats with memory for driver’s seat, rain sensing wipers, auto high-beam LED headlights, i-Dual Zone automatic climate control with plasma cluster, keyless entry, cruise control, auto-dimming interior rear view mirror, remote engine start, Honda LaneWatch and ANC (Active Noise Cancellation).
Powering the Honda Accord Hybrid is Honda's new i-MMD (intelligent Multi Mode Drive) system, which combines a 145 PS 2.0L Atkinson VTEC engine with two electric motors and a 1.3 kWh Li-Ion battery pack. The total system output is 215 PS, which is sent to the front wheels. The Accord Hybrid is capable of a mileage of 23.1 km/L (ARAI-certified).
