Local media expect it to launch this year in Korea.
The fifth generation Hyundai Azera was introduced in 2010 and later in 2011 as the all-new Hyundai Azera. Hyundai is developing the sixth generation model now, which has been spied testing in Seoul, courtesy Naver.
The test mule of the sixth generation Hyundai Grandeur (codename: Hyundai IG) is heavily camouflaged but does indicate a few changes. The new generation model seems to feature a revolutionary design, with a shape much similar to its sister brand's equivalent model - the Kia K7 (Kia Cadenza).
The proportions appear to have been changed considerably, and the all-new model appears to sit lower. The sleeker glasshouse paired with that lower height gives a coupe-esque styling look at the sides. Up front, there appears to be a large radiator grille which could be the new 'Cascading Grille' that debuted with the 2017 Hyundai i30 last month.

The Hyundai Grandeur (Hyundai Azera) is offered with 2.4-, 3.0- and 3.3-litre petrol engines and a 2.2-litre diesel engine, while there's also a hybrid variant packing a petrol-electric powertrain. The next-gen model could be offered with the same options, albeit with output revisions, paired to the new 8-speed automatic transmission of the Kia K7 (Kia Cadenza).
