The A4 is currently available only in petrol in India.
Thrustzone has acquired spyshots of the Audi A4 diesel variant testing without any disguise. The TDI model is expected to arrive early next year in India.
Audi had only launched the petrol variant of the new A4 in India, which is priced between INR 38.1 Lakhs and INR 41.20 Lakhs. It is powered by a 1.4-litre TFSI petrol engine that develops 110 kW (150 PS/147.45 hp) and 250 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed S-Tronic gearbox as standard. Its claimed fuel efficiency of 17.85 km/l.
The 35 TDI variant packs the familiar 2.0L four-cylinder turbodiesel engine that produces 140 kW (190 PS) and 400 Nm of torque in the European specification, which is also paired with a 7-speed S-tronic gearbox as standard. Expect the average fuel mileage to increase compared to its predecessor (17.11 km/l), thanks to weight savings brought by the new MLB Evo platform.
