Expected with 1 petrol and 2 diesel engines.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced in a statement that the 2016 Toyota Fortuner will have its Indian market launch on November 7, 2016. However, two dealers that Indian Autos Blog spoke to said that bookings for the new Fortuner are yet to start.
Like the Innova Crysta, the 2016 Toyota Fortuner will be equipped with features such as LED projector headlights, LED daytime running lights, A-TRC Traction Control (TRC) system, Down Hill Assist Control (DAC) system, electric tailgate, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control, T-Connect infotainment system with satellite navigation and reversing camera.
The 2016 Toyota Fortuner's engine lineup will be sourced from the Toyota Innova Crysta, which includes the 2.4-liter GD diesel engine with 149 PS and 343 Nm of torque and a 2.8-liter GD diesel engine that produces 174 PS and 360 Nm of torque. The torque figures could be slightly more in the 2016 Fortuner though.

Also, Toyota would include the 2.7-liter four-cylinder petrol engine which was recently introduced on the Innova due to the uncertainty of large diesel engine cars in Delhi-NCR (at present, cars with diesel engines larger than 2,000 cc need to pay an additional 1 percent cess). Transmission options will include 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearboxes, while a 4WD system will be offered in the top-end grades.
