So far, the Ameo has only been available in its petrol variant, which is priced between INR 5.31 Lakhs – 7.13 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

The Ameo diesel packs an updated version of the 1.5 TDI unit, which bumps the power output to 108 bhp from 103 bhp thanks to a larger, locally sourced turbocharger. A 5-speed manual gearbox is fitted as standard, while a 7-speed DSG is optional in the Ameo diesel. Expect VW and Skoda to introduce the updated engine in its products in the future.

Like the petrol variant, the Ameo diesel will be sold in three trim levels – Trendline, Comfortline and Highline. Some of the standard features in the Ameo include tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel, ABS and dual-front airbags as standard across the range.
