Despite cutting ties with TVS and investing INR 3,000 crore on its Indian operations, Suzuki Motorcycles haven't managed to take the market by storm.

Speaking about the association, Satoshi Uchida, managing director of Suzuki Motorcycles India, said:

As a conscious effort, we are trying to get good Maruti Suzuki car dealers on board to sell our two-wheelers. Many of them are excited to sell our superbikes like Hayabusa. Same set of vendors can be used for many components to bring costs down.

Despite cutting ties with TVS and investing INR 3,000 crore on its Indian operations since the launch, Suzuki Motorcycles haven't managed to take the market by storm with its lineup of products, as compared to rivals Hero, Honda and TVS that sell lakhs of motorcycles every month. Suzuki's best selling product - the Suzuki Access scooter - constitutes over 50 percent of Suzuki's total sales every month. The company finished below Royal Enfield last calendar year, selling less than 3.5 lakh units.
