Powered by a 1.5L mHawk D70 turbodiesel engine.
Mahindra has launched a new, sub-4m variant of the Mahindra Bolero UV in India today; christened as the Mahindra Bolero Power+. It is available in three grades: SLE, SLX and ZLX, and prices range from INR 6.59 Lakhs - INR 7.57 Lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai).
One of the key highlights is the motor under the hood. It's a 1.5L three-cylinder 'mHawk D70' turbodiesel engine that produces 70 bhp at 3,600 rpm and 195 Nm of peak torque between 1,400-2,200 rpm, making it 13 percent more powerful than the regular Bolero. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard that sends power to the rear wheels.
With the smaller engine and inclusion of Mahindra's Micro Hybrid system (auto start/stop), the Bolero Power+ is claimed to be 5% more fuel efficient than the existing Bolero. It is capable of reaching an average fuel mileage of 16.5 km/L (ARAI-certified).

Other new features in the Bolero Power+ include an engine immobilizer, music system, voice messaging system, body decals and better seat cushioning. Mahindra has also slightly shortened the length to under 4 meters, thus slotting it in the 'small car' tax bracket. It measures 3,995 mm long, 1,745 mm wide, 1,880 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2,680 mm.
