The 2017 Hyundai Verna made its world debut at the 2016 Chengdu Motor Show this month, and Autohome reports that the Honda City challenger will be launched on the Chinese market on October 18. This makes China the first market to receive the global sedan.
Autohome reports that in China, the 2017 Hyundai Verna will launch with 1.4- and 1.6-liter petrol engines developing 100 hp and 123 hp respectively. These will be matched to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed AT.
The exterior of the all-new Hyundai Verna is an evolutionary transition from the outgoing model, inline with the company's latest range featuring the Fluidic Sculpture v2.0. It gets a large hexagonal grille with chrome embellishers, sleek projector headlights with LED DRLs, sporty bumpers and angular foglamps, LED taillights and a boot spoiler.
The Chinese version of the Hyundai Verna will get all-black interior with silver trim over the center console and HVAC vents, new three-spoke steering wheel with audio buttons, new instrument cluster and drops the ‘waterfall’ dashboard for floating design.
