The Hyundai Verna's cousin is expected on the Korean market this year.
The 2017 Kia Rio hatchback was revealed this month and its public debut is at the 2016 Paris Motor Show on the 29th of September. It's expected to be followed by the 2017 Kia Rio Sedan shortly, and a speculative rendering by IAB's automotive illustrator Shoeb Kalania gives an early look at the Hyundai Verna's cousin.
The 2017 Kia Rio Sedan is currently under development in South Korea, where it was spied testing for the first time in June. Domestic media suggests that the new generation model will be introduced in the second half of the year. The global marketing of the model could begin from early 2017.
Compared to the third generation Kia Rio hatchback, the fourth generation Rio hatchback is 15 mm longer, 5 mm wider and 5 mm lower, and has a 10 mm longer wheelbase. Similar dimensional changes can be expected for the fourth generation Kia Rio Sedan that should offer added space for passengers and luggage.

Likewise transmission choices should include 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 4-speed automatic.
