Will be manufactured and sold in India in H2 2017.
Brazilian publication, Autoo, has managed to acquire photographs of the 2017 Jeep Compass (Jeep 551/Jeep C-SUV) during what appears to be its local TVC shoot. The images give a first look at the next-gen Compass's exterior styling, ahead of its digital reveal in the coming weeks.
As expected, the new SUV can be summarised as a more rounded, contemporary sibling of the Jeep Renegade, borrowing cues from the bigger Jeep Grand Cherokee. The front-end features the characteristic grille flanked by small projector headlamps with LED DRLs, Grand Cherokee-inspired bumper design, and a contoured engine hood.
The top-end 'Limited' grade will offer a dual-tone exterior color option with thick chrome window embellishers, as seen in one of the spyshots. It rides on bright alloy rims sourced from the Renegade, and the lettering across the front doors confirm the 'Compass' name. At the back, it features wraparound LED taillamps and a roof spoiler.

For the Brazilian market, the next-gen Jeep Compass will be available with a 2.0-litre flex-fuel engine and a 2.0-litre MultiJet diesel engine. Transmission options would include a 9-speed automatic (diesel variant only), a manual option and 6-speed automatic gearbox (flex-fuel variant only). It will enter production at the FCA-Tata JV plant in Ranjangaon, Maharashtra, from 2017, and will also be exported to other right-hand drive markets, FCA India confirmed.
