It was earlier speculated that the 1.5-litre turbo VTEC engine would replace the 2.4-liter naturally aspirated engine, but the memo disagrees, and both engines make the cut. In the new Civic, the 1.5 Turbo engine makes 173 hp and 220 Nm of torque, paired with an Earthdreams CVT.

Spyshots of test mules have revealed that the next-gen 2017 Honda CR-V will undergo an evolutionary redesign, incorporating touches from the tenth-gen Honda Civic. The front-end features a Civic-inspired fascia, while the rear-end gets new L-shaped tail lamps. It also sources the modular platform from the tenth-gen Honda Civic.
