The 2017 Audi Q5 has been spied testing in Mumbai by Team-BHP forum member sawnilrules. The second generation Audi Q5 has been confirmed to be introduced this year in European markets, with a possible debut at the Paris Motor Show which starts on September 30.
With the familiar trend of Audi's approach to lifecycle changes, supported by the vehicle's spyshots, it's speculated that the the second generation Audi Q5 will feature an evolutionary redesign. Thus, the 2017 Audi Q5 won't be surprisingly different in design and styling or in dimensions. A major change the Audi Q5 will undergo moving to the next generation, will be the platform on which it will be built. The all-new Audi Q5 will be underpinned by the MLB Evo platform like the latest Audi Q7, Audi A4 and Audi A5.
The 2017 Audi Q5 is expected to be offered with a variety of TFSI petrol and TDI diesel engines having displacements ranging from 1.4- to 3.0-litre. The standard Q5 should be followed by the Q5 e-tron plug-in hybrid variants having diesel-electric combination in Europe and petrol-electric combination in North America and China. For performance enthusiasts, Audi will have S and RS variants.
