Reported to arrive this festive season.
Here is our artist, Shoeb Kalania's take on the reported Tata Tiago Sport which is expected to launch in the market in the festive season this year. While Tata Motors planned on launching the Bolt Sport initially, and even showcased the vehicle at the Auto Expo this year, dull sales numbers of the regular Bolt have made the company decide otherwise.
Our iteration of the Tiago Sport gets an attractive body kit with side skirts, a contrast red color on the door handles, wing mirrors, foglight enclosures and Tata logo, and larger matte-finished alloy wheels.
Under the hood, the Tiago Sport will reportedly get a turbocharged version of the 1.2-liter three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine. While the naturally-aspirated version of this engine powering the Tiago develops 85 PS, with a turbocharger, the power output will increase to 120 PS, said a report. The same turbocharged engine could also find application in Tata's forthcoming Nexon compact SUV.
Tata is sure to distinguish the interior of the Tiago Sport with a special upholstery with contrast needle stitching, aluminium pedals, an all-black center console, a larger Harman touchscreen entertainment system and possibly even automatic climate control.

When launched, the Tiago Sport will have no direct rivals; instead it will find itself in a small list of performance hatchbacks the likes of which include the Abarth Punto, the VW Polo GT TSI, the Ford Figo 1.5 AT and the forthcoming Maruti Baleno RS.
