Confirmed to launch in India next year.
Skoda has confirmed that it will unveil the Skoda Kodiaq on 1 September in Berlin in Germany. Weeks before the media unveil, Skoda has been releasing some teasers of the new model, and now, using these renderings, Czech publication Autoforum has created renderings that give the best look yet at the Skoda Kodiaq.
The Skoda Kodiaq is the production version of the Skoda VisionS concept from the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, and the Czech automaker's first D-segment crossover/SUV class model to be launched in the market. Evidently, the production version's exterior has remained largely unchanged from the concept. The Kodiaq will be available in two versions: 5-seat and 7-seat.
Based on the Volkswagen Group's MQB platform, the Skoda Kodiaq measures 4,697 mm in length and 1,882 mm in width, and has a wheelbase of 2,791 mm. It will be available with three TSI petrol and two TDI diesel engine options at launch. The most powerful engine will be a 132 kW (180 PS) 2.0-litre TSI unit. Transmission choices will include 6-speed manual and DSG dual-clutch automatic, while the drivetrain layout options will be front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.

The Skoda Kodiaq will have its public debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show in September, and likely go up for pre-order in Europe towards the end of 2016. It will reportedly reach Indian dealerships in 2017, possibly in the second half of the year.
