Nissan sold 850 units of the Kicks in the first half of this month.
Noticias Automotivas reports that the Nissan Kicks has outsold one of Brazil's most popular SUVs - the Renault Duster - in the first half of this month. Nissan managed to roll out 850 units of the Kicks, while Renault sold 757 units of the Duster.
However, the Kicks's sales figure falls short of beating Brazilian favorites like the Ford Ecosport, Jeep Renegade and Honda HR-V. Ford sold 1,314 units of the Ecosport, while Jeep and Honda pushed out 1,912 and 2,081 units of the Renegade and HR-V respectively.
The Kicks is only sold in the top-end SL grade which is priced at R$89,990 (INR 18,47,062.39). Nissan also introduced a Rio Limited edition priced from R$93,500 (INR 19,19,105.83), which is limited to 1000 units. Nissan is expecting to sell 2,000-3000 units of the Kicks each month by the end of the year.
