Prices now range between INR 7.19 - 9.88 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for Vitara Brezza.
A letter to the Bombay Stock Exchange has revealed that Maruti has hiked the prices of the Maruti Vitara Brezza and Maruti Baleno by upto INR 20,000. The letter states that the hike is attributed to segment wise demand, forex movements and strategic objectives of the company.
Effective from August 1, 2016, the Maruti Vitara Brezza is priced from INR 7.19 Lakhs-9.88 Lakhs (previously INR 6.99-9.68 Lakhs), while the Maruti Baleno ranges between INR 5.25 Lakhs-8.36 Lakhs (previously INR 5.15-8.33 Lakhs), ex-Showroom, New Delhi. Currently, both models have a waiting period of 6-9 months (depending on the trim), and the company's production plants are running at full swing to fulfill the backlog of orders for both products.
Sales of the Maruti Vitara Brezza and Baleno have contributed to Maruti's stellar performance this year. For July 2016, Maruti recorded the highest ever sales in the domestic market, selling 125,778 units in India alone. The Vitara Brezza has helped in the significant growth of Maruti's UV segment, which saw a rise of 151.3 percent in July 2016 as compared to the same month last year.

Later this year, Maruti will introduce a range-topping Baleno RS that will debut Maruti's all new 1.0L Boosterjet engine in India. A petrol variant of the Vitara Brezza is reportedly in the works, which will also pack the 1.0L Boosterjet engine.
