Royal Enfield Himalayan fitted with Akropovic Exhaust - Video

The Himalayan is powered by an all-new 411cc engine. 

A rider-modified Royal Enfield Himalayan with Akropovic exhaust is seen in the video below. Even though Royal Enfield sells complete accessories for the Himalayan, exhaust units aren't part of the repertoire and the user-fitted exhaust would nullify the company's warranty for the bike.

Even though no direct competitor to the off-roading tourer from RE exists in the market, it is priced similarly to the Mahindra Mojo and the KTM Duke 390.

As can be seen and heard in the video below, the Akropovic exhaust - stated to cost Rs 3,000 reportedly - produces a sporty and loud note.

The RE Himalayan was launched in March this year at Rs 1.55 lakhs (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). The bike found its initial few months tough, with the Supreme Court's ban on registering BS-III vehicles in the National Capital Region. Eventually, however, the ban was lifted and the bike went on sale in Delhi as well.

The Himalayan is powered by a freshly-developed 411 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 24.5 PS at 6,500 rpm and 32 Nm of peak torque. The bike uses a 5-speed gearbox.
