Perodua has launched their first ever sedan - Perodua Bezza - in Malaysia. It's available in five variants, and priced between RM 37,300-50,800, on-the-road including insurance (INR 6.15 lakhs to INR 8.38 lakhs).
The Malaysian manufacturer has already received over 4,028 bookings for the Bezza within 5 days, of which 50 percent of bookings was for the 1.3L Advance variant (RM 50,800), 35 percent for the 1.3L Premium variant (RM 42,800-44,800), while the remaining comprises of the 1.0L variants (RM 37,300-39,300).
The Bezza is based on the Perodua Axia‘s platform, and required an investment of RM 300 million to develop. It measures 4,150 mm in length, 1,620 mm in width, 1,510 mm in height, but it shares the 2,455 mm wheelbase with the Axia. Boot volume is at 508 liters, which is almost 100 liters bigger than the Proton Saga's boot.
Engine lineup includes a Toyota-sourced 1.0 liter VVT-i engine with 67 hp/91 Nm and a 1.3 liter Dual VVT-i engine producing 94 hp/121 Nm. Both variants get a 5-speed manual as standard, while a 4-speed automatic is optional.
