All-new Camry under development in the USA.
The seventh generation Toyota Camry was originally introduced in August 2011 and then in a facelifted avatar at the 2014 New York International Auto Show. Now, Toyota is developing the eighth generation Toyota Camry, as seen in spyshots published by Motor1.
The heavy camouflage doesn't reveal the design of the car, and thus, there's almost nothing that can be made out about the car's exterior from. However, the test mule does appear to have a shape and size very similar to the current Camry.
The next-gen North American-spec Toyota Camry is said to share the NGA-C platform, an iteration of TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform, with the next-gen North American-spec Toyota Corolla. It will likely be offered with an updated version of the current 178 hp 2.5-litre Dual VVT-i naturally aspirated four-cylinder gasoline engine and a derivative of the 235 hp VVT-iW unit of the Lexus NX. Like now, there will be a hybrid variant too.

The North American-spec seventh-gen Toyota Camry is expected to have its world premiere sometime in 2017 and go on sale as a 2018 model. The global version should follow soon after the North American-version's debut which could happen at the 2017 North American International Auto Show in Detroit or at the 2017 New York International Auto Show. It's a little too early to speak on the Indian launch of the next-gen Camry, but one thing that can be said with certainty is that its hybrid variant will be available in the market owing to the current one's recently achieved success.
