Changes could be similar to the Brazilian-spec 2016 Toyota Etios.
Toyota is road-testing an updated version of the Toyota Etios sedan in Bangalore, featuring strategically-placed wraps that hide the cosmetic changes. It's expected to launch in the country during the festive season this year.
To look contemporary in today's market, it features a redesigned grille, where the sleek lines flow to form a V-shaped grille in the center with 4 slats, as well as new intakes and foglamp enclosures that look similar to the Toyota Vios. The rear-end has a new chrome bar running between the taillamps and a slightly redesigned lower bumper.
An older spyshot has revealed the interior of the new Etios, which seems to feature a new fabric material for the seat upholstery and an updated steering pad with a digital instrument cluster similar to the unit fitted in the Brazilian-spec Etios and the Toyota Prius.

Expect the engine lineup to remain unchanged. The current Etios is available with a 1.5L petrol engine and 1.4L diesel engine, which produces 90 PS/132 Nm of torque and 68 PS/170 Nm respectively. The only transmission option is a 5-speed manual gearbox in both variants.
