Powered by a 125 PS T-JET petrol engine.
FCA India has launched a more powerful version of the Fiat Linea in India, which made its local debut at the Auto Expo 2016. Dubbed as the Linea 125 S, it is priced from INR 7.82 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Fiat Linea 125 S is powered by the 1.4L T-JET four cylinder petrol engine from the Linea petrol variant, but has been tuned to produce 11 hp more. It produces 125 PS and 210 Nm of torque, which is sent to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox.
As for equipment, the Linea 125 S gets a 5 inch touch-screen infotainment system with GPS-guided navigation, rear view camera, disc brakes on all four wheels, ambient lighting and cruise control. The Auto Expo show car featured glossy horizontal black stripes in the grille and airdams, black painted alloy rims, gloss black roof and ORVM caps and chrome finished exhaust pipe.

The Fiat Linea 125 S rivals the likes of regular petrol-powered mid-size sedans like the Hyundai Verna (123 PS) and the Honda City (119 PS), both of which use naturally-aspirated engines with variable-valve technology. The VW Vento TSI however uses a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine but is mated to a 7-speed DSG.
