To launch in early-2017.
IAB reader, Vivek Dogra, spotted the 2017 Chevrolet Beat testing in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, ahead of its expected launch in early-2017.
The exterior looks similar to the Beat currently sold in India. While the front and rear ends have been covered up, Chevrolet has already revealed the styling of the new Beat, which draws cues from the international Chevrolet Spark. Up front, it will feature a new 2-part grille flanked by large headlamps, plenty of chrome details, and round foglamps on either side of the lower bumper. The rear-end gets redesigned taillamps and a repositioned registration plate mount.
As for the interior, changes were previewed by the Beat Activ and Essentia concepts from the Auto Expo 2016. It will get a dual-tone dashboard housing a 7-inch MyLink infotainment system and a revised bike-inspired instrument cluster. Improvements to the build quality as well as materials are also expected.

However, the next gen Beat will continue running on the current Beat's platform, unlike its international sibling. Engine lineup is reported to comprise of a 1.0L petrol engine, which is a downsized version of the 1.4L four-cylinder Ecotech motor from the Spark, and a 1.0L TCDi diesel engine.
