Expected to go on sale in India in August.
The fifth-gen Audi A4, now on sale in Europe, had its Indian debut at Auto Expo 2016. In the latest, three test mules of the 2016 A4 have been spied testing by IAB reader Sheriyar Shaikh in Mumbai.
The black-coloured test mule isn't clearly visible, but the silver- and white-coloured test mules with different alloy wheels seem to be of two different trim levels. The 2016 Audi A4 will one of the 10 new product launches from Audi India this year. It will reportedly be launched in August.
The 2016 Audi A4 is likely to be available in at least two models in India: A4 30 TFSI and A4 35 TDI. A 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that develops 110 kW (150 PS/ hp) and 250 Nm of torque and sends power to the wheels via a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed S tronic transmission is also reportedly under consideration. The A4 35 TDI will likely be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 140 kW (190 PS/ hp) and 400 Nm of torque and sends power to the wheels via a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed S tronic transmission. The third model could be powered by a 2.0-litre TFSI engine.
