Both bikes will get a 900 cc engine.

British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph is planning to expand its Bonneville lineup adding two new members to it next year. The company has filed certification documents at the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that suggest that the new Bonnies will come powered by a 900 cc engine and will be named as the Triumph Bonneville Street Cup and the Triumph Bonneville T100.

The Triumph Bonneville Street Cup might be an entry-level cafe racer.

The T100 was recently spied testing near Triumph’s factory abroad a few days back with styling inspired from the bigger T120. The bike was seen with a single disc brake upfront, as opposed to twin discs in the T120. The Street Cup on the other hand, as the name suggests, will come based on the Street Twin that has been equipped with the same 900 cc engine.

Talking of the powertrain, the 900 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor on the Street Twin comes mated to a five-speed gearbox, generating a maximum power of 55 bhp with a peak torque of 80 Nm. The company has armed the Street twin with all the major technical benefits including ride-by-wire, traction control, torque assist clutch and much more and these might be integrated to the upcoming bikes as well.
