India-bound Toyota Corolla facelift spotted for the first time in Turkey

Will be launched in Europe in Summer 2016.

The 2016 Toyota Corolla (facelift) was revealed earlier this year for Europe and Australia, and should be launched in India late this year or in 2017. In the latest, the facelifted model has been spied in Turkey where the Euro-spec version is built.

The 2016 Toyota Corolla features redesigned headlamps with new LED clusters and LED light guides, smaller upper grille, larger lower grille, new front bumper with C-shaped endings, resculpted bonnet, new design 16- and 17-inch alloy wheels, tweaked bootlid chrome applique and updated tail lamps which incorporate LED clusters.

Three new colours will be introduced globally with the facelift: Platinum Bronze, Tokyo Red and Earth Bronze.

With the facelift, Toyota has made the Corolla safer. The 2016 Toyota Corolla will be available with the Toyota Safety Sense suite of advanced safety and assistance technologies like Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Road Sign Assist (RSA) and Automatic High Beam (AHB).

The complete specifications are yet to be released, but no major changes are expected in the engine line-up. More details are will be revealed closer to car's global rollout which will begin within three months.
