Exclusive to the Chinese market.
Guangzhou-Honda has unveiled the production-spec Honda Concept D at the Auto China 2016 in Beijing. Christened as the Honda Avancier, it's the company's newest flagship product that is exclusive to the Chinese market.
Based on the current gen Honda CR-V, the Honda Avancier adopts an angular styling that combines design elements from Honda's range of products. It features LED headlamps, a bold chrome bar running across the large mesh grille, LED foglamps and silver skid plate integrated into the bumper. The roofline slopes towards the rear in a coupe-esque manner, which gives it a sporty character.
Inside, the Honda Avancier features a new design that is significantly different from the product it's based on. It has a waterfall dashboard design adorned in wood trim, instrument cluster with a large MID, new touchscreen infotainment system, 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel, and an all black leather upholstery.
The Honda Avancier will pack a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Engine specs have not been revealed, but Honda has confirmed that it will be paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. Also in the pipeline is a hybrid variant, for which Honda will reveal details at a later time.
