Reason being an issue with the restraint control module.
A Ford India spokesperson has confirmed to Indian Autos Blog that deliveries and test drives of the Ford Figo and Ford Figo Aspire have been suspended as the company is investigating an issue with the restraint control module of the two cars. Once the issue is resolved, the company will resume deliveries of both models.
The reason for the suspension of deliveries is an issue with the restraint control module, a component of the ECU that controls the deployment of the vehicle's safety features. The spokesperson didn't go into further details about the issue.
The Ford Figo and Figo Aspire offer a driver’s airbag as standard in the base grade, while rest of the grades add a passenger airbag to the list. The range-topping Titanium Plus is equipped with a pair of side and curtain airbags – bringing the total count to six. The 1.5 petrol Titanium AT is exclusively fitted with Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control System (TCS) and Hill Launch Assist.

In other news, recent reports suggest that the company had to reduce the production rate of both the Ford Figo and Figo Aspire due to weak demand in the market. Currently, the average production per month is around 6,500 units for both models, while planned exports to Europe will commence later this year.
