To push out existing stock of older make-year models, Maruti is offering discounts in the form of gift cheques and exchange bonuses, which would make the respective product more appealing to prospective customers.
Maruti Alto 800 and Alto K10:
The entry-level Maruti Alto 800 is available with a total discount of up to INR 55,000 (INR 30,000 as a gift cheque and INR 25,000 as an exchange bonus) for all grades, while the more-powerful Maruti Alto K10 is available with a maximum discount of INR 35,000 for LXi CNG and INR 30,000 for LXi, VXi, VXi(O), VXi AMT variants.
Maruti WagonR and WagonR Stingray:
Maruti's popular WagonR hatchback and its sharper sibling, the WagonR Stingray, are available with discounts ranging from INR 40,000 for the WagonR LXi CNG variants to INR 70,000 for the WagonR Stingray LXi grades. Customers interested in the AMT-equipped variants (AGS) can avail steeper discounts than regular MT models.
Maruti Ritz:
One of the oldest products in the Maruti Suzuki range, unsurprisingly, is offered with the maximum discount. Up to INR 90,000 worth of gift cheque discounts and exchange bonuses is offered with the base LXi petrol variant, and INR 60,000 for all diesel variants.
Maruti Celerio:
The entry-level AMT variants of the Maruti Celerio can be had with discounts of up to INR 55,000, while the top-end ZXi AMT gets a INR 45,000 discount in gift cheques and exchange bonuses. The Celerio diesel is sold with a INR 50,000 discount on all variants.
Maruti Swift Dzire:
Customers interested in the Maruti Swift Dzire can avail a INR 15,000 gift cheque discount and an exchange bonus of INR 20,000. The commercial-spec Tour LDi variant (based on 1st gen Swift Dzire) is available with a gift cheque of INR 10,000 and an exchange bonus of INR 15,000.
Maruti Ciaz:
Only the petrol variants of the Maruti Ciaz gets a INR 15,000 gift cheque for all grades, while both petrol and diesel variants are offered with an exchange bonus of INR 30,000.
