Expected to aid in fuel efficiency and engine response.
Autocar Professional reports that the Datsun redi-GO weighs 25 kg lighter than the Renault Kwid, which is expected to aid in fuel efficiency and engine response.
In an interview, Gerard Detourbet, the creator of the platform and managing director of 2ASDU, Renault Nissan Technology and Business Centre India, has divulged that the redi-GO is 3,430 mm long, while the Kwid is slightly longer at 3,679 mm. However, the redi-GO has a slightly longer wheelbase and taller height for better interior space.
The redi-GO features the familiar hexagonal grille, large angular headlamps, separate LED DRLs on the bumper, vertical taillamps, contoured tailgate and separate reflectors on the lower bumper. The urban crossover has a best-in-class ground clearance of 185 mm.
