The Datsun redi-GO has made its global premiere in Delhi, India today. The urban crossover is the second product to be based on the CMF-A platform, and is expected to be priced very competitively.
The exterior looks almost identical to the redi-GO concept from the Auto Expo 2014, save for production-spec parts and components. It features the familiar hexagonal grille, large angular headlamps, separate LED DRLs on the bumper, vertical taillamps, contoured tailgate and separate reflectors on the lower bumper. The urban crossover has a best-in-class ground clearance of 185 mm.
Inside, the Datsun redi-GO has a simple design that looks slightly similar to the Renault Kwid. The company claims that the redi-GO will offer best-in-class kneeroom, spacious rear seat, and best-in-class visibility. The design adopts a driver-focused approach with round HVAC vents, three-spoke steering wheel, tall gear lever and front power window controls on the floor console.
