Packs a 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine.
Ford China is showcasing the Ford F-150 Raptor at the Auto China 2016 in Beijing, today. It is the company's most powerful production-spec truck that will go on sale in U.S from fall-2016.
The exterior of the F150 Raptor SuperCrew can be easily summarized as a rugged, off-road friendly version of the Ford F-150, which in itself is a large behemoth. Unveiled at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, the F-150 Raptor is over 150 mm wider than the standard F-150, and is available in two cab configurations: 2-door SuperCab and 4-door SuperCrew.
The second generation F-150 Raptor is powered by a 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine from the Ford GT. Ford hasn't revealed the performance figures yet, but it will certainly be more powerful than the 411 hp 6.2-liter V8 in the previous model. It is paired to a 10-speed automatic gearbox with a manual-shifting mode.
The F-150 Raptor will also be sold in China in its SuperCrew guise from 2017, once production commences at Ford's factory in Dearborn, Michigan. Ford also showcased the Ford GT at the biennial show which commenced for the media yesterday.
