First generation Peugeot 3008 extends its life with a second facelift.
Peugeot has unveiled the 2016 Peugeot 3008 (facelift) at Auto China 2016 (2016 Beijing Motor Show). The current, first generation Peugeot 3008 was originally introduced in January 2009. At the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the facelifted Peugeot 3008 was unveiled, and this year, the fully redesigned second generation Peugeot 3008 was expected. However, at least in China, the French crossover will continue in its first generation with yet another facelift, which was presented at the Chinese show.
The second and probably the final facelift brings a "comprehensively restyled" exterior to the Peugeot 3008. Up front, the radiator grille, skid plate, bumper, fog lamps and fog lamp housing have been updated. At the rear, the tail lamps feature a new light signature with three strokes on a black background, and the skid plate has been tweaked a little. The facelift also brings Visio-Park II 360° around view camera and collision risk alert driver assistance feature to the 3008.
The 2016 Peugeot 3008 will be available with 167 hp 1.6-liter and 147 hp 2.0-litre engines in China. The 2.0-litre engine will be available with 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission, while the more powerful, 1.6-litre engine will be available only linked to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
