Started testing last month.
Our rendering artist Shoeb Kalania has envisioned the third generation Yamaha R15. The model was recently spied testing in Indonesia and is expected to make its world debut this year.
The Yamaha R15 V3.0 is believed to share styling cues with the Yamaha M-Slaz that is also known as the Yamaha Xabre (in Indonesia). Some components/features on the M-Slaz such as the LED headlamps, inverted telescopic suspension at the front and a fully-digital instrument console with full negative display and LED backlight are expected to be inherited by the Yamaha R15 Version 3.0.

The next generation model is expected to be powered by the same 149 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with SOHC, two valves and fuel injection system, mated to a six-speed transmission. The motor could be tuned to produce higher power and/or torque from the current rating of 17 PS at 8,500 rpm and 15 Nm at 7,500 rpm.
