TVS XL 100 launched in Madhya Pradesh at INR 30,248 - IAB Report

The TVS XL 100 has been launched in Madhya Pradesh at an ex-showroom price of INR 30,248. It is available at all TVS dealerships across the state. The model was first launched in Uttar Pradesh in October 2015 and subsequently introduced in various regions across the country including Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttarkhand, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Pondicherry and Andaman Nicobar.

The TVS XL 100 is the third model in the XL range of mopeds after the TVS XL Super and the TVS XL Super Heavy Duty.

The XL 100 is the 100 cc variant of the TVS XL Super. It features a wider and longer floorboard, a boarder seat, a pillion seat that can be detached to use the flatbed platform underneath for load carrying, a larger fuel tank, stainless steel brake cable, an easy centre stand (patent pending), an easy kick-start, and better ergonomics promising a more comfortable riding stance.

TVS has sold 586,417 mopeds in the April 2015-January 2016 period which is down 5 percent year on year. TVS has no competition in the moped segment.

The TVS XL 100 is powered by a 99.7 cc air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine that produces 4.2 PS at 6,000 rpm and 6.3 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. It returns a mileage of 67 km/l (as per TVS' simulated test conditions) and is capable of reaching a top speed of 60 km/h.
