Second bodystyle on the new generation Civic.
Honda has finally unveiled the second bodystyle of the 2016 Honda Civic, ahead of its debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Motor Show this month. Simply called as the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe, it is set to arrive in showrooms across U.S. from March 2016.
The design was previewed by the Honda Civic Concept at the 2015 New York Auto Show, and looks similar to the regular 2016 Honda Civic, save for two lesser doors, a rakish windscreen, sloping roofline and sportier character lines. It gets automatic headlights and LED daytime running lights as standard, while LED headlights and rain-sensing wipers are optional.
Inside, the design is largely identical to the Civic sedan. It has a conventional single dashboard design, an instrument binnacle that houses a large display for the tachometer, digital speedometer, and fuel efficiency data. The center console has a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Engine lineup includes two petrol options: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder producing 158 bhp and 186 Nm of torque and a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 174 bhp and 219 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a CVT gearbox.
