Winner of the Honda Motorbike Idea Challenge 2016.
The Honda CBR500R custom by K-Speed was built for the Honda Motorbike Idea Challenge 2016 in Thailand in which it received top honours. The customisation is done on the latest iteration of the Honda CBR500R.
Characterized chiefly by the custom front fairing and matte grey paint, the model features low-set twin headlamps and slender LED DRLs, LED blinkers on aftermarket rear view mirrors and on the fairing side-panels, scratch pads on fuel tank, pillion seat cowl, clip-on handlebars that offer a more aggressive riding position, new foot-peg sets, custom exhaust (by Motive) and golden highlights on components like drive-chain and clamps.
The K-Speed Honda CBR500R seems to have the chassis, suspension and powertrain unaltered. The engine is a 471 cc inline-twin unit that produces 47 PS in compliance with European A2 license norms. The 2016 Honda CBR500R was unveiled for the country at the 2015 Thailand International Motor Expo.
