Will go on sale by June this year.
The Citroen SpaceTourer is the successor to the Citroen Dispatch Combi. Based on the PSA Peugeot Citroen’s EMP2 (Efficient Modular Platform 2) modular platform, it’s one of the trio of new vans co-developed by PSA and Toyota Motor Europe.
The SpaceTourer will be offered in three variants: XS (4.6 metres long), M (4.95 metres long) and XL (5.30 metres long). The width and height remain standard across the range at 1.92 metre and 1.9 metre respectively.
Four seating configurations will be available: five-seat, seven-seat, eight-seat and nine-seat. The 4.6 metre long variant offering seats for up to nine passengers is a market-first. The new SpaceTourer can carry loads up to 1,400 kg. In the UK, a 1.6-litre BlueHDi engine will be available in five power outputs ranging from 95 bhp to 180 bhp. Transmission choices will include 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual semi-automatic and 6-speed automatic.
Noteworthy features of the Citroen SpaceTourer include head-up display, new generation Citroën Connect Nav infotainment system with 7-inch touchscreen display, active cruise control, blind spot monitoring system, lane departure warning system and Active Safety Brake system.
Citroen SpaceTourer Hyphen concept
Also on display is a Citroen SpaceTourer Hyphen concept, which draws inspiration from the Aircross Concept, as seen in the wheel arch trims, sill protectors and a broader front bumper design. The exterior is finished in matte Dark Moondust color contrasted by red-orange highlights. Inside it has an exclusive fabric-wrapped roof lining and dashboard, thick wool floor mats, and a large glass sunroof.
The Citroen SpaceTourer will go on sale by June this year along with its mechanical twins, the Citroen Traveller and the all-new Toyota Proace.
