The BMW M4 with Competition Package will become available in Spring 2016.

BMW X4 M40i

The BMW X4 M40i is the new range-topping BMW X4. On the outside, the X4 M40i features Ferric Grey finishing on the mirrors, 20-inch M light-alloy double-spoke wheels with Ultra High Performance tyre mix (front - 245/40 R20, rear - 275/35 R20), sports exhaust system with valve control and Chrome Black tailpipes on both sides of the bumper. Interior highlights include "X4 M40i" door sills, “X4 M40i” digital lettering on the instrument cluster, M leather steering wheel, M gear shift lever and sport seats.

Under the bonnet, there's a newly developed 3.0-litre M performance TwinPower Turbo turbocharged six-cylinder petrol engine that develops 265 kW (360 hp) and 465 Nm (343 lb.-ft.) of torque. The BMW X4 M40i can reach from 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited).

The BMW M4 with Competition Package making its world debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show features extended BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line exterior trim and M sports exhaust system with black chrome tailpipes on the outside. The high–gloss Black colour has been used for the BMW kidney grille, the window trim, window recess finishers, door mirror frames and bases, the side gills and the model badge on the tail. Inside, the Competition Package brings lightweight M sports seats and Seatbelts with woven-in BMW M stripes.

Coming to performance features, the Competition Package includes Adaptive M suspension featuring new springs, dampers and anti-roll bars, reconfigured driving modes (Comfort, Sport and Sport+) and reconfigured Active M Differential on the rear axle and DSC Dynamic Stability Control. The Competition Package-equipped models ride on exclusive forged, machine-polished, weight- and rigidity-optimised 20-inch M alloy wheels (9J × 20 at front, 10 J × 20 at rear) with exclusive multi-spoke 666 M styling and mixed tyres (265/30 R20 at front, 285/30 R20 at rear).

Under the bonnet, there's a 3.0-litre M TwinPower Turbo twin-turbo six-cylinder engine that develops 331 kW (450 hp) and 550 Nm (406 lb.-ft.) of torque. The Competition Package has increased the engine's maximum power output by 14 kW (19 hp). 6-speed manual transmission is standard, while a 7-speed M Double Clutch transmission can be had optionally. Specified with the latter, the BMW M4 Coupe/BMW M4 Convertible with Competition Package can reach 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.0/4.3 seconds and hit a top speed of 250 km/h. Adding the M Driver's Package option raises the top speed to 280 km/h.

The BMW M4 Coupe with BMW Competition Package and BMW M4 Convertible with BMW Competition Package will be available in Spring 2016.
