Following its Geneva premiere earlier this month, the Audi Q2 was seen uncamouflaged on public roads. In the latest, a pair of black Audi Q2 models were seen in Europe by IAB reader Dani Moreno. Needless to say, the Audi Q2 will go on sale first in Europe, with order books opening in mid-2016 and deliveries commencing in Autumn 2016 (September-November 2016).
The Audi Q2 is based on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform. It measures 4,191 mm in length, 1,794 mm (2,009 mm with mirrors) in width and 1,508 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,601 mm. The smallest Audi Q series model has a ground clearance of 200 mm.
The Audi Q2 will be available with three petrol and three diesel engine choices. 85 kW (116 hp) 1.0-litre TFSI three-cylinder unit, 110 kW (150 hp) 1.4-litre TFSI four-cylinder unit with cylinder on demand and 140 kW (190 hp) 2.0-litre TFSI four-cylinder unit are the petrol ones; 85 kW (116 hp) 1.6-litre TDI, 110 kW (150 hp) 2.0-litre TDI and 140 kW (190 hp) 2.0-litre TDI unit are the diesel ones. The engine will be mated to 6-speed manual and 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmissions.

Noteworthy features of the Audi Q2 include Audi virtual cockpit with a 12.3-inch display, head-up display, MMI navigation plus infotainment system with MMI touch, Nappa leather upholstery, Bang & Olufsen sound system and a power liftgate.
