Front-end inspired by Ford Edge.
The second generation Ford Kuga has received its mid-life facelift for the 2016 model year at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Up front, the 2016 Ford Kuga features a large trapezoidal grille and a smaller lower grille, both flanked by sleek new headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, new bumper, restyled hood and new foglamps. The front-end is reminiscent of the Ford Edge.
A new range of 17- 18- and 19-inch alloy wheel designs will be available in Luster Nickel and a variety of other finishes. At the rear, the new Ford Kuga features restyled tailgate and new taillamps. Two new exterior colours, Guard Grey and Copper Pulse, have been added to the colour palette.
Inside, the 2016 Ford Kuga has lesser steering wheel and air-conditioning buttons and switches, and the ones which are present, are easier to spot and use. Door lock indicator, electronic parking brake, Adaptive Front Lighting System and SYNC 3 infotainment system have made it to the Kuga with the facelift.
The 120 PS 2.0-litre TDCi diesel engine has been replaced by a 120 PS 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine. For those looking for more power and/or off-road capability, there are options available: 150 PS 2.0-litre TDCi diesel (FWD/AWD), 120 PS/150 PS 1.5-litre EcoBoost petrol (FWD) and 182 PS 1.5-litre EcoBoost petrol (AWD).
The 2016 Ford Kuga will go on sale in the UK in October.
