Previews the likely design of the 2017 Chevrolet Trailblazer (facelift) as well.
The second generation Chevrolet Colorado is set to receive a mid-life facelift later this year. Ahead of its market launch later this year, the front-end and the profile of the facelifted 2016 Chevrolet Colorado (global version) has been fully revealed in a spyshot. With the facelift, Chevrolet is bringing the global version closer to the North American version in terms of design.
The more angular, rectangular-shaped new headlamps that sweep back swiftly are similar to the North American-spec Chevrolet Colorado. Other changes include a new, wider dual port grille with chrome slats, new front bumper and and new foglamps. The profile doesn’t appear to have any changes.
The second generation Chevrolet Colorado was introduced in 2011 with 26 configurations in Thailand, and is offered in three body styles – single-, extended- and crew-cab. Two engines are offered: a 2.5-litre Duramax (XLDE 25) diesel engine that develops 120 kW (163 hp) and 380 Nm (38.8 kg-m) of torque and a 2.8-litre Duramax (XLDE 28) diesel engine that develops 147 kW (200 hp) and 500 Nm (50.9 kg-m) of torque.
These engines can be had with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission. GM offers the mid-size pickup truck in rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive drivetrain layouts.
