Piaggio presented the Vespa 946 Armani 125 at the Auto Expo 2016 in Greater Noida. The model had its world premiere last year.
The model is a special edition based on the Vespa 946 that was developed jointly by Giorgio Armani and Piaggio to mark the year 2015 which is the 40th anniversary of the Giorgio Armani foundation and the 130th birthday of the Piaggio Group. The Vespa Armani is made with Armani’s signature gloomy colour palette that has a combination of greys with subtle mix of green that is visible only under particular light conditions.
The Vespa 946 Armani is powered by the 125 cc forced-air cooled single-cylinder Port-Injected engine that produces 11.42 PS of maximum power and is mated to a CVT. The scooter is equipped with a single-link arm front suspension with a coil spring and dual action hydraulic shock absorber, and a rear suspension that has a dual action hydraulic monoshock with progressive lever system and a coil spring with four adjustable pre-load settings.
The Vespa has 220 mm disc brake at the front and the rear, 120/70-12 front tyre, 130/70-12 rear tyre and an 8.5-litre fuel tank.
