Will become eighth Toyota to be produced by Toyota in and for Europe.
Toyota has confirmed that the Toyota C-HR concept's production version will have its world debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show on 1 March. The Toyota C-HR concept was first unveiled at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in a 3-door form and later showcased in a 5-door form at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA). The production version of the Toyota C-HR concept will be a five-door compact crossover powered by a hybrid powertrain.
The Japanese automaker has also confirmed that the Euro-spec Toyota C-HR, as expected, will be made in Turkey. Production of the second TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) modular platform-based model will take place alongside the Toyota Corolla and Toyota Verso at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Turkey (TMMT) plant in Sakarya. The C-HR is not only Toyota's first, but also Turkey's first hybrid vehicle to be built locally. The hybrid powertrain won't be built there though, it will be sourced from Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK’s engine plant in Deeside, Wales.

The Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkey plant will be the company's third European plant to produce hybrid vehicles after the Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK plant in Burnaston, Derbyshire (Auris Hybrid and Auris Touring Sport Hybrid) and Toyota Motor Manufacturing France (Yaris Hybrid). It is also worth noting that this will be the first plant outside Japan to manufacture a TNGA platform-based vehicle.
