Will go on sale towards the end of this month.
Honda has announced the Honda Vezel Hybrid RS for Japan, a more stylish model of the Honda Vezel.
On the outside, the Honda Vezel Hybrid RS is more appealing than the Honda Vezel Hybrid Style Edition, and features honeycomb pattern for the upper grille, black lower body starting from the front bumper going through the fenders and rocker panels to the rear bumper, LED fog lights, 18-inch aluminium wheels and black door mirrors. The interior is blacked-out to go with the sporty exterior theme.
The Honda Vezel Hybrid RS should be powered by the same hybrid powertrain from the Honda Vezel Hybrid. It consists of a 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 97 kW (132 PS/130) and 156 Nm (15.9 kg-m) of torque, which assisted by an electric motor that generates 22 kW (29.5 PS/30 hp) and 160 Nm (16.3 kg-m) of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission.
There's no word on whether the RS edition will be available only as FWD model or as a 4WD model. The fuel economy rating (in JC08 test cycle) should be around 25 km/l.
