Honda's second best selling model in India.
Indian Autos Blog understands that the Honda Amaze facelift will be launched in India on March 3, 2016 in New Delhi. Honda Cars India has scheduled a press conference, but have kept the product details a secret.
The Amaze facelift, as revealed via a spyshot, brings minor cosmetic changes for Honda's second-best selling vehicle in the country. Designers have given the Maruti Dzire-rival a new chrome grille and front bumper among other expected changes to the rear and interior.
The interior is expected to get the Honda BR-V-derived dashboard with a new instrument cluster, redesigned AC vents, automatic climate control and a touchscreen AVN system.
The Honda Amaze facelift will continue to be powered by the 1.2-liter i-VTEC petrol engine and the 1.5-liter i-DTEC diesel engine, though these four-cylinder units could be tuned for better fuel economy. The i-VTEC engine develops 88 PS and 109 Nm of torque, whereas the i-DTEC outputs 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque. Where the diesel engine is available with a 5-speed manual gearbox only, the petrol gets the option of 5-speed manual and automatic gearboxes.
