2016 Jaguar XJ showcased at Make In India event – IAB Report

Following its world debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA) last month, the 2016 Jaguar XJ (facelift) was launched just last month in India. Jaguar is showcasing the model at the Make In India event in Mumbai.

The facelifted model gets updated styling with new full LED headlights featuring ‘J-Blade signature’ LED daytime running lights, restyled bumpers and new J-signature tail and position light graphic. The dimensions remain unchanged.

The 2016 Jaguar XJ retains the same interior and gets only a few changes. The 12.3-inch display of the instrument cluster can now display navigation data in full-screen mode. The company is now offering InControl Touch Pro infotainment system as standard.

2016 Jaguar XJ showcased at Make In India event

The 2016 Jaguar XJ is available with two engines in India: a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 177 kW (237 hp) and 340 Nm of torque and a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 diesel engine that produces 221 kW (296 hp) and 700 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. The petrol model can reach 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 241 km/h. The diesel model can clock 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and has its top speed limited to 250 km/h.
