To hit showrooms in the coming weeks.
Autocar India reports that Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has tweaked the variant walk of the Hyundai Elite i20 for 2016 model year. The publication says that dual front airbags will be offered as standard on both, i20 and i20 Active, shortly. ABS will not be available on base Era and Magna variants as usual.
The 2016 Hyundai i20 will reportedly be offered in five variants with the Sportz (O) discontinued. The top-end i20 Asta (O) now receives projector headlamps with cornering lights and LED DRLs, which are already offered on the European version and the India-spec Hyundai i20 Active. The said version will also be equipped with 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and an Audio Video Navigation system with a 7.0-inch display.
There is no change in the powertrain lineup which has the 1.2-litre petrol engine with the five-speed manual gearbox, and the 1.4-litre diesel motor with the six-speed manual transmission.
