BMW Zinoro Concept Next – Motorshow Focus
Riza Rizvi, Hopelessly in love with everything on four wheels. Interested in cars since my formative years, with an unhealthy affinity for exotics and tuners. Fondness for the open road with high-octane machinery for company!
Is purely a design study.
Zinoro, BMW-Brilliance’s electric car sub-brand, displayed the Zinoro Concept Next at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show.
The Next is a design study meant to preview the brand’s future electric SUV. The exterior of the concept is sleek and aerodynamic, featuring angular headlights with sharp LED DRLs, twin-slat chrome grille and huge air intakes. The standout design attributes on the sides are sleek side mirrors with strip-like turn indicators, pillar-less doors and big wheels. Behind, there are C-shaped LED tail lights and tailgate-mounted spoiler.
Since this is a design study concept there is no interior. Zinoro’s lineup presently has only the Zinoro 1E electric vehicle, which is available on lease in China. This car is based on the first generation BMW X1 and is powered by an electric motor having an output of 170 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Its 24 kWh battery gives it a range of 150 km with a top speed of 130 km/h.
