Jeep India's website has gone online and lists the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT and the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The Grand Cherokee and the Wrangler Unlimited have been snapped testing in India in many occasions.
2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited:
The 2016 Wrangler Unlimited would be the entry-level model from the Jeep brand in India, which is expected to be powered by the 2.8-litre diesel engine that produces 197 hp and 460 Nm.
The regular Jeep Wrangler which sports a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 petrol engine may not be launched. It appears that the Sahara variant of the Wrangler Unlimited will be the one on offer in India.
2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee:
The 2016 Grand Cherokee gets a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 petrol engine that produces around 305 hp. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that can be controlled by paddle shifters behind the steering wheel. The motor gets a Quadra-Drive 4x4 system and a stop-start system for improved fuel economy.
The model features Bi-Xenon headlamps, LED DRLs, Nappa leather-trimmed seats, and mineral gray pockets. The 2016 Grand Cherokee Limited and the 2016 Grand Cherokee Summit will be offered in India, going by the website.
2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT:
The 2016 model of the Grand Cherokee SRT is powered by the 6.4-litre HEMI V8 petrol engine that produces 475 hp and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

Internationally, the SUV gets two package options: an SRT High Performance Laguna Leather and an SRT High Performance Audio system. The model gets a new Valet mode that offers a wide range of restrictions right down to the throttle control, gear selection and engine remap.
