Thailand could be the first market.
Internet reports suggest that the Honda CBR250RR is scheduled for trial production in the first quarter of 2016, which will be followed by its market launch within the first half of the calendar year. It is also reported that the motorcycle will be manufactured in Thailand and exported to the rest of the world from there. Earlier reports have suggested that the CBR250RR will reach Indonesian showrooms within the same timeframe.
Previewed by the Honda Lightweight Superports Concept at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, the Honda CBR250RR would replace the Honda CBR250R as a more aggressive and capable opponent to the likes of the Yamaha R25. It would be touted as a track-focussed motorcycle, unlike the CBR250R which is reckoned as a sports tourer.
